This is why there is such a things as nurse ethics, that you need to follow in order to ensure that you are dealing with your patients in the proper way.

A nurse is someone who is considered to be selfless. Since a nurse's job entails having to take care of a lot of people, they need to prioritize the health of other before themselves. They need to be willing to help others especially in times of need. Even if a nurse is tired, they should always prioritize the welfare of the patient before resting. This is what sets a nurse apart from other professions, they need to be there and always present if they are needed.

A nurse should be trusted. Since patients are required to confide to the nurses about what really happened to them, nurses are not allowed to tell other people about these unless it is needed by the physician. Nurses have no right to tell other nurses what the health condition of their patient really is. They need to stick to their word and be confidential with the things that they are told.

A nurse is expected to be prompt. They need to be there if they are needed. Once a patient is brought in and a nurse is needed, they should be able to give assistance immediately. You know how important time is especially when it comes to addressing the needs of a patient. One delay can lead to multiple complications this is why you have to be alert and on time always. Also, what comes with this is knowing what to do. You need to know in an instant what you should do to the patients.

A nurse is one respected profession that you will ever know. There are so many things that are requires especially when it comes to their integrity and character. She needs to make sure that she makes the right choices and decision when it comes to their work. This is the reason why there is still a lack of nurses in the workforce. Even if you are qualified academically to be a nurse, you need to be willing to work as one. Ethics is an important factor when it comes to nursing, so make sure that you have this in your mind before you can work as a nurse. You need to make the choice and choose to follow nurse ethics and you will surely be successful in this career.
